Filipino Holidays -- 2026 Edition

This is a summary of the 2026 Filipino Holidays and special days.

Regular National Holidays

These are official public holidays observed nationwide, usually with work and class suspensions:

Each Barangay will have its own Fiesta. These are on different dates around April - June each year. I’m not going to attempt to capture these dates here.

Islamic Religious Holidays (Dates Vary Annually)

The Philippines also recognizes two major Islamic holidays as national holidays, though their dates change yearly because they follow the lunar calendar. These are declared closer to when they occur:

• Many of the above are tied to Catholic liturgical seasons (e.g., Holy Week), reflecting the Philippines’ majority Catholic population.
• Dates for Eidul Fitr and Eidul Adha are announced each year once the lunar calendar is consulted.
